    Well, you can’t give apples and oranges away to others’ who might like fruit. And you can’t sell whole milk gotten di-rectly from a cow. That’s govment for you! Don’t do it like the libs say, get fired at the very least. How much food get wasted? How many people could actually get fed if McDonald’s, for example, could take the expired Quarter Pounders to the local homeless shelter instead of the dumpster out back? Common sense died decades ago.

          Speaking of trying to make a buck, the best lawyer link was the lawsuit over the rescue dog. It is rare to come across an older rescue dog without issues and a chance of reacting badly with changing conditions and medications. Then to expect some treasure trove of value when left in the care of a kennel……….common “cents”…….

          As for sleeping with your pet, my constant companion, Pal, was NEVER allowed in the house and I was never allowed to wander in the woods and groves without him. Well he was a good pillow……outside.

          People that leave a dog alone in an apartment all day need to be charged with animal cruelty.

            Agreed. A friend of mine once who kept a yellow lab in a cage in his apartment when he was at work. The poor dog barely had the room to turn around. Broke my heart. I’ll differ with you on the bed thing. My two cats sleep at the foot of the bed at night. My wife and I are constantly feeling them throughout the night.

            I’m good with cats. Cats are different than dogs, they don’t give a sh*t…..especially if they have a dog as their friend……cats are only thing I ever had to keep mole and chipmunks under control.

            Remember…Only your dog is happy for you to walk in after 10PM.

      You want to spend even more billions to find a few terrorists who are less likely to kill you than you getting hit by lightning, but you want to eliminate laws that keep millions of people alive and healthy every day. Weird.

      Oddly enough, I suspect that if we were more ‘socialist’, i.e. had more food inspectors, we could probably have fewer regulations. Many of these types of laws exist because we were unable to rely on the good faith of some capitalist to do the right thing. Alas.

    Memories are sweet but that world for most is gone. There was security in knowing mom was at the other end of an invisible string as we wander and can run back to. A kids world today is built on extreme competition where you pick your sport or extracurricular activity and train all year, where education is so expensive and specialized career programs so restricted and diverse oriented a B can change your life,

    We don’t spend the summer barefoot even in the city, hot asphalt and broken glass, we don’t cross roads as cars are bumper to bumper, 15 miles over the speed limit and full of stressed occupants with AC on, windows rolled up and headphones on. But who would live with one used car, a 2000 sqft home, no debt and kids without the best ?

    I haven’t heard from the raw milk libertarians in years, and you had to go down under to find a current example. I’ve never understood why those folks don’t follow the lead of the gun libs and dope libs and just buy a damn cow.

    Change is brewing folks. The antiquated two party system is slowly but surely being challenged. Hopefully Kemp loses so 3rd party candidates have a decent shot at ballot access sometime within the next couple of election cycles.

    Dems and GOPers will fight it just as they are fighting ‘outside’ candidates in this presidential election. But it is only a matter of time as evidenced by the millions who have shown their collective disgust against ‘the establishment’ over the past 12 months. The 2 major political parties no longer represent a large contingent of voters who seem to be waking up with a desire to force change to the status quo.

      While I agree with you on this, I just wanted to point out that the opposition to Trump isn’t because he’s an outsider, it’s because he is a pathetic excuse for a leader.

        You’re saying that a bunch of ‘pathetic leaders’ in the GOP oppose Trump because he is their equal?

        Nah, they oppose him because he threatens their very existence, i.e. political welfare recipients who face the real possibility of losing the stranglehold they have on our political system. Same threat posed by Bernie on the left to those in charge of that party.

    This is not Europe, therefore, we shower at least once per day. Also, this article ignored the psychological effects of showering.

    I am sure glad the good doctor reminded us all to wash our cracks and crevices though. Where would I be without that sage advice.

    Keep in mind that in a previous article from the AJC’s Matt Kempner we had it noted that “PSC members didn’t follow their own experts’ advice to impose a risk-sharing mechanism that would have reduced Georgia Power’s profit if it blew past cost estimates. [At the project’s outset] The company argued such a measure would be unfair and potentially counter productive… We can handle the risks that worry state experts.     So we end up with a PSC that not only doesn’t penalize but allows Georgia Power to profit from the delays because we get to pay in advance for at least 3 years more than their original false projections. Think about that; the more they delay, the higher the profit. Anyone who votes for incumbent PSC members is a chump. Any party official who holds it against those within the party who wish to “primary” current commissioners needs to be removed from the party.
