* Is 2015 a typo?
* Why not retire right now in protest? Where is this man’s convictions and honor?
* If he is truly in fear, why would he subject himself to 6 months of deadly dread?
* Could it be that he was going to retire anyway and chose Dec 31 to do so to maximize his taxpayer guaranteed extravagant pension payouts?

Trump is just plain stupid. Punish women who might get abortions if it were made illegal? No way in hell he’d win a general now. That statement will be on an endless loop beginning today! And I thought the nasty insults would do him in…
As much as I’d like to think that, they’ve been saying that about everything he says. So far nothing that comes out of his mouth seems to have slowed him down any.
True but until now it’s just been insults to others running against him. And building the wall, defending the border and stricter background screening of Muslims entering the USA are wildly popular. But THIS, this targets an entire gender’s freedom. I don’t think I’ll be seeing a potential Trump woman supporter advocating for punishment for one of her own sisterhood. His bleating walk back of jailing the doctors was pretty pathetic. He’s done as far as actually being elected Prez.
Well, I think there are a handful of women who would want to punish other women but the fact is Trump is already very unpopular among women voters, including those of his own party. He can’t win the general election if it stays this way. So I don’t think his comment hurts him, really, but it certainly isn’t going to help him.
Everybody knows that laws only fail to protect the innocent when they concern imposing restrictions on guns and carrying them.
Andrew, point one well taken. Strangely, I’ve seen several reports stating the real NC bathroom criminal problem allegedly was ‘STRAIGHT’ men, wearing dresses, going into women’s bathrooms for nefarious purposes. A second stretch was transgender men were doing all their gender surgery, etc. etc. just so they could go in women’s bathrooms for same sexual predator purposes. I really could not make this up.
Despite the fact that no such cases were previously reported, and the infinitesimally small odds for this criminal demographic even existing, an emergency legislative session was called for HB 2. But while they were in session, they voided all local municipal anti-discrimination laws just to fan the flames.

This law is plain dumber than paste. I can tell you all firsthand – those that work on campus are far more at risk than students. GSU personnel are there everyday, year in, year out.
While MikeSilver may question the man, his origins, his politics, or even the veracity of his resolve, but for the love of reason, C.S.’s logic is impeccable.

He’s a good professor too. If he and others around the country are leaving universities (and they are) due to campus carry laws then the campus carry laws are making our universities worse just to feed our John Wayne complex.

I 100% agree with the logic if women’s soccer creates more revenue than the men, they should get paid more. If this is upheld, we should end all affirmative action programs, and base all of it on merit. As I have said numerous times over the years, I am 100% against affirmative action, but I am 100 percent for upholding civil rights for all regardless to race, religion, gender and sexual orientation.
