Spring break is starting for some, over for others, we’re likely to know a lot more about who we vote for in November this week, and there are five legislative days remaining this session. Nuther IT guy takes The Fifth….I wonder if that pot of water is getting hot?
http://www.politico.com/story/2016/03/hillary-clinton-emails-state-department-220689
No he didn’t. Read your linked story.
Semantics, Senior X! I wonder why he isn’t ‘cooperating’? Pass the popcorn! Oh, and Jorge Ramos actually grew a pair of testicles in the last debate. Hill was a tiny bit flustered!
Hysterical! Weenie professor threatens not to teach class if armed students participate.

Again, any wonder why the Trump Wall idea is wildly popular?
I don’t think there is much controversy regarding the idea of the wall, it is the design and cost that is, well, ridiculous.
What is the estimated cost? No snark. I simply haven’t seen the figure.
Exactly!
?? Exactly what, B? You’re the one that said it was expensive. I asked the price. Nice exclamation point, though.
According to Trump, it’s going to be free!
It isn’t the cost of the wall as it will be a symbol of nonsense and a fun hurdle to “in free”. Without an immigration plan with teeth and engaging all law enforcement in the country to support an acceptable federal immigration law, why waste millions for show.
Even El Chapo Guzman used it like a revolving door.
A.Bad.Idea.
On this issue and there are not many I don’t see eye to eye with you on, we disagree. Protect our citizens and our country. Build the damn thing all the way across. I guess the fence around the WH is for show, too. Tear it down!
I forgive you, this time….I invested in a ladder and catapult manufacturer on the border. The money for the investment is coming from many added U.S. border guards that are raising their rate from $2k @ to $3k.
The WH fence is a bit more manageable and the motive is not so great to enter, for most.
I like the catapult idea! Build it like those ones in the Lord of the Rings movies! No telling how many you could sling south in one throw! “SlingIllegal.com!”
Thank you! Yes! It drives me insane to see all the people in the press and on the internet talking about protestors squashing 1st amendment rights. It is important for people to remember the 1st Amendment is between people and the government.
How about the fact that the 1st Amendment does not allow anyone to yell “Fire” in a crowded room? An auditorium filled with 15,000 -20,000 people certainly qualifies as a crowded room. Professionally organized incitement to riot by moveon.org, William Ayres, et.al, which I witnessed real-time on Friday night is beyond simply yelling “fire.” It was as if anonymous online bullying and shouting down others sprang to human form in a pugnacious mob intent on preventing a peaceful assembly of people who do not share their opinions.
The media needs to stop glossing over the unacceptable behavior of a bunch of anarchists by calling them “protestors.” This goes to the core of our democratic process for electing a president. ALL candidates make their case to the voters, and we winnow them peacefully at the voting booth. The candidate I think best may not win every time — but the democratic process does. (I have held my nose through some pretty stinky presidencies.)
I have not seen or heard anyone point out that the meeting halls and arenas are all rented by Trump, and the rallies are ticketed events. As such, they are private events, not free-speech zones. The rioters and anarchists get in by dishonestly taking free tickets and seats away from innocent people who simply want to go hear what the candidate has to say. I have seen policemen throw people out of Falcons and Hawks games for far less disturbance than what I watched Friday night out of the anarchists.
Bill Ayres and Nazi prom, back-to-back. Funny stuff.
Andrew, Caitlyn/Bruce Jenner called — he wants his pearls back.
When you say racist are you referring to Hillary and her supporters who started the birther movement? Why has the media not asked Hillary to disavowed former paid professional mock researcher Linda Star who led the email birther campiagn against Obama? What about Peter Berg former democrat AG of Pennsylvia, and big time Hillary supporter who filled the first birther law suite against Obama? Was has Hillary never disavowed them?
“BUT… BUT… SHE STARTED IT!!”
Look, that doesn’t even play at my dinner table. Who’s still peddling nonsense, and who’s not?
Hillary and Bill signature legislation creating the massive incarceration of African Americans as well many in lower in come areas in our country. In fact if we change the 3 strikes and your out laws ie War on Drugs in steroids, the Pew estimates a 30 percent reduction in poverty. Combine that with the trade deal Hillary supported, she has been a disaster for working class people of all races.
‘doesn’t even play at my dinner table.”
I guess you give Hillary a pass for running a racist campaign, trading away American jobs for speaking fees, and taking donation from the private prison industry while the 3 strike and your out ( Clinton signature legislation) incarceration rate destroyed minority and poor white communities?
ACP,
If a Yankees fan wanders into a local Boston pub during a big game and disrupts the room telling all how much better the Bronx Bombers are vs the Red Sox, is his inevitable butt-whooping warranted? And would any self respecting Boston cop give a crap?
If a bunch of Sanders supporting free babies decide to invade a Trump function with the sole purpose of antagonizing the crowd, they deserve whatever the agitated crowd decides to inflict upon them. The Chicago mob got lucky Trump canceled.
If the whinning free babies don’t like conflict, stop trying to start one. The blame rests solely with moveon.org and the mindless myrmidons who have been coerced into believing society owes them health, education and a ‘livable wage’. They are in for a rude awakening.
“they deserve whatever the agitated crowd decides to inflict upon them”
No, they don’t.
Or maybe you would like to take that position in front of a judge?
CC, Yes, anytime. It is fine to protest, but quite a different situation when it turns to a free for all riot atmosphere.
“The Chicago mob got lucky Trump canceled.”
Which mob are you referring to? If you mean the group that went to that event expecting a confrontation and went anyway, perhaps the Trump mob was the lucky mob.
Trump rallies: folks get angry when they might get rocked out of their public paid hammocks. Mega-AG will supply the tomatoes to thrown.
Two big Pharmas, CVS and Walgreen Boots will supply the aspirin.
When folks appear at a function to express their first amendment rights and at some point of screaming over and threatening the speaker it moves to the area of inciting a riot. The authorities must make the call before it gets out of hand. Anyone rushing the speaker requires immediate arrest.
Works for Clinton or Trump speeches.
Really ? What will come first, him handling a bunch of idiots intent on disruption or you jumping up on stage yelling “Let him have his say” ? ??
Only question I have is were the interlopers paid $15@hr ?
“Old buzzword: Gay Marriage. New buzzword: Religious Liberty.”
I think the frustration from the fundies over the outcome of Obergefell v. Hodges has worked great for those whose schtick has been coining euphemistic sounding (at least to evangelicals) war cries. In 2013 Ralph Reed’s Faith & Freedom group brought in over $7MM and in 2014, with the mantra being the assault on “gay marriage” they doubled that to more than $14MM. No returns as yet for 2015 but since they kicked off the legislative session last year by storming the capitol with all of their Duluth neighbor Georgia Baptists in tow to rally for the right to discriminate, I seriously doubt the take diminished. Face it, the guy is a marketing genius and even though he skated on criminal charges by both being slick and a fortunate statute of limitations he is still convincing the Baptists at least that the Lord is always on his side. I’m actually surprised that Trump and his two Corinthians haven’t recruited him and his minions given his track record and frankly the civil rights track record going back through history of the Southern Baptist Convention.
It truly takes genius to convince people that a state that does not have civil rights laws protecting race, creed, color, sex, or even sexual orientation needs a law to protect those who wish to discriminate. The handful of bakers, photographers, and candlestick makers often used as their evil examples have all been sued under civil rights laws in those states that don’t exist in Georgia. This legislation is needed in this state as much as a house cat needs scuba gear. I know this is an election year and little substantive legislation was to be forthcoming but surely a better time waster could be found than something that is just making money for charlatans.
^^ This should be disseminated far and wide. ^^ Sublime.
No observations on the Atlanta Cof C going recruiting in Austin?
The Austin demographics are way different….and the cost of living for about everything but utilities is higher in Atlanta. Then there is the lifestyle. Austin is the fastest growing city in the top 50 US cities.
Maybe the chamber members were looking for their relocation opportunities on the expense account.
They got a cooler (and expanding) Metrorail in Austin… Just saying.
Day’s almost over so no one gonna read this but maybe the enterprising Tuesday Morning Reads person will see it:
“Have Republicans Already Lost Florida?”
“We’re ignoring the new America for a short-term primary victory, and it’s a high cost for the party to pay,” says Al Cardenas, a former Republican Party of Florida chairman and GOP powerbroker who oversaw the state organization during Jeb Bush’s governorship.
…..
“We are going to pay and pay and pay and pay for this,” says Rick Wilson, a GOP strategist who supports Rubio. “The fact of the matter is that this is a party who had an opportunity this year to show Hispanics an interesting, diverse, compelling party. Instead, what we’re going to show them is a 70-year-old verbally incontinent white man from Queens who bellows about brown people.”
https://newrepublic.com/article/131504/republicans-already-lost-florida
Hispanics. Young people. Women. The LGBT community. Anyone who thinks. All lost.
All because no one in leadership said, “No. Hell no. He’s not one of us.” Loud and often till the GOP supporters listened. Now..too little, too late. Dusting off Romney and sending him out as the sane one is laughably belated.
“First he came for the Latinos. I said nothing for I do not like the Latinos.
Then he came for the Muslims. I said nothing for I do not like the Muslims.
Next he came for the Blacks. I said nothing for I do not like the Blacks. Except Ben Carson, he’s the good one.
Then he came for the gays. I said nothing for I do not like the gays.
Then he came for the women. I said nothing for I do not like the women.”
I think whoever in the Republican party those statements would at all apply to are already in the Trump camp. Otherwise it’s bullsh%*.
This is gonna be fun for Kasich to sort out
