The Presidential candidates can talk about the establishment and insiders but the DNC has perfected the process. We can stop the nonsense on Hillary vs. Sanders, it is over, way over.

Is this add a cheap shot from Cruz, since he made similar statements as well?
……..Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign hit rival Marco Rubio on Wednesday in a new television ad that compares the Florida senator’s support for the failed “Gang of Eight” 2013 comprehensive immigration reform bill to President Obama.
“I will never support — never have, and never will support — any effort to grant blanket legalization amnesty to folks who have entered, or stayed, in this country illegally,” Rubio says in a clip at the beginning of the ad.
“Then Rubio got to Washington,” a narrator says, “and wrote the bill giving amnesty to illegals, using Obama’s talking points to make his sales pitch.”
The video goes on to match up similar statements made by both Obama and Rubio in support of the immigration bill.,,,,,,,,,

Also is this not unethical to release at about the same time by the Cruz campaign?

Hate seeing Cruz go the low road. No interpretations needed, here is Rubio’s position and as he reviews advice he might improve. I’d rather he’d go with local law help to the Federal law more than complete a wall.

Salt,
You make a very good point, this debate like many issues have been about low road spin, not real policy. The debate needs to move toward policy suggestions like you made, less about election style nasty talking points. This is why very little ever gets done, we end up fighting gut level political football game over solving anything.
Went to https://johnkasich.com/resultsnow/ didn’t find his immigration plan.
Salt,
Similar to Rubio on the issue….And exactly what Cruz proposed, before he claimed he was for it, before Cruz was against it…..Like many other issues it also depends on the major donors Cruz is soliciting money from…..The Cruz famous wink-wink for cash, while he claims to be the only one with integrity, cough, cough……I really do not get how Cruz supporters do not get they are being played by him?

…………Gov. Kasich’s positions on some immigration issues have changed considerably over the years. In 2015, he says the government must complete construction of a wall along its border with Mexico and make clear that those who come over illegally will be deported. However, he says Washington should pass legislation that provides a path to legal status for the more than eleven million undocumented immigrants already in the country. “If they’ve been law-abiding over a period of time, they ought to be legalized, and they ought to be able to stay here,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kasich says the United States needs to improve its existing guest-worker program. “We also need an expanded program so that people want to come into this country, work on a temporary basis, they can get here and go home. Now they get here and they stay. They hide.”…..
When he makes a final decision he should put it on his web site.
A,
I made the same mistake with a long answer to Charlie on “what Beach meant” when “he does nothing for us” would have sufficed.

Lileks! I remember when blogs used to be called “Online Journals.” Because, dammit, apparently I’m middle-aged.
Well here is the response to the “shameful rejection of Bork”:

Pretty funny that republicans are going to block Obama’s nominee because…haha…they are still butt-hurt about Bork! Even my Polish inlaws can’t hold a grudge that long. Any excuse to do nothing, I guess.
Is there a Las Vegas bet on when the Clinton Foundation will donate $100 mil to the walled Vatican City “anywhere but in our back yard” refugee plan in return for a kind word from the Pope ?
Please, Salty. We’re Catholic. We don’t do Vegas; we play Bingo and have raffles.
Somehow I think Cuba is going to figure into all this before it’s over.
I do not know who Stephen Fry is but I thought we all agreed the dress was blue and black?
British comic/actor. Used to be in a comedy duo with Hugh Laurie back before Laurie came over here and started playing a gimpy, oxy-addicted American doctor.
When you stop to think about it, the president choosing to send the Veep to Scalia’s funeral instead of going himself is pretty low. If he shows up on a golf course tomorrow as he did when he hit the links right after speaking about Jim Foley, it will be even worse.
Scalia won’t care.
Sadly, neither does Obama.
‘Do you tell the truth?’
‘I always try too’
Huh? Only Hillary or her husband thinks this way as a means to advance their collective political fortunes. Try to tell the truth? That’s the standard we accept as voters?
You can’t handle the truth!!
