Meanwhile, all the Sanders people are all, “SIT DOWN, JOHN!”
Disgraceful that ABC and the RNC decided to exclude one candidate, only one from the debate Saturday night. The one female in the race excluded based on some arbitrary formula devised by a TV network based on polling that everybody knows is not accurate including the useless RNC – http://www.politico.com/story/2016/02/carly-fiorina-excluded-from-next-gop-debate-218769
Ben Carson who is not even campaigning in NH or SC will be on the stage. Chris Christie will take time out from the nearest Golden Corral to be on the stage even though he has no chance beyond NH (and very little chance in NH where he has put all his resources into winning). Jeb Bush who has spent more than anybody by far yet has fallen in polls constantly will be on the stage. Carly will be singularly excluded thus becoming the only candidate not invited to participate.
Nice job RNC, you continue to do everything possible to run off the majority of voters in America. Might as well invite Todd Aiken to be there and just put the final nail in the coffin.
I get that you are a Fiorina fan, but can you really say the RNC is excluding her because of who she is? Werent the rules in place for this debate long before?
She’s the only one excluded because everyone else who would have fallen below the threshold has already dropped out of the race. It’s got nothing to do with her and everything to do with her not meeting the previously set criteria. If she was still polling well and did better in Iowa etc. she would be on that stage. But she didnt. So she isnt. It’s that simple isnt it?

Late January. So one would assume common sense adjustments could be made considering the format was established last week. Especially if the RNC stepped up to support the only candidate being excluded.
There will be 7 candidate on the stage tomorrow night, one excluded. What is the upside for GOPers in making this decision? What is the downside? Seems to me it would be advantageous for the GOP to have a female presence on the stage. She has earned it and the public deserves to hear from her.

There are 8 candidates left in the race, 7 will be included in the debate. 1 of those candidates (Carson, polling lower than Carly in NH) is not even campaigning right now and has no plans to compete in NH or SC . 2 other candidates finished behind Carly in Iowa (Christie and Kasich). She deserves to be on the stage and the RNC needs to step up and make it happen.
I would prefer to have Fiorina in the debate than Carson.
Or maybe exclude both Fiorina and Carson
That would be the best case scenario, but I do believe it looks bad to have the only woman in the race excluded.
She didn’t meey the criteria. Period. She does not deserve to be included.
A few observations after watching part of dem debate.
Hilly likes to talk about Dodd-Frank but not Glass- Steagall. She correctly talked about the trillion dollar cost of Burnie’s health care plan but she failed to explain her bank breakup plan. She does want to increase our involvement in Syria. She also touted endorsements from other politicians.
Burnie sounds like an old record album or cassette that was played too often; Wall Street speculators, the one percent, rigged economy. Nothing new here.
His foreign policy, or lack of foreign policy, changed slightly. In addition to his famous Middle East coalition, he now wants more troops in Syria. Twice, he failed to answer the question as to what he would do in Afghanistan.
On the other side, the increasingly desperate Jebby will release an ad featuring George W.
Hillary turned the question about her Wall St. ties pretty well and Bernie didn’t respond as well as he might have, but I bet he will going forward.
The issue isn’t whether she would change a vote because of those ties, it’s that they are supporting her because they believe she is already supportive of them. She wouldn’t need to change a thing- just keep being who she is and the big banks would have the expectation that they will be OK.
I don’t support either of them for president but based on what I saw last night Hilly won the debate. She was better prepared and he never fully answered her question about his 2000 vote concerning derivatives. Also she was correct to name all of her endorsers because they are all main stream democrats.
I thought she was too aggressive, looked a bit desperate. She totally created that ‘artful smear” moment all by herself. Many people may feel that was good for her, but it looked transparently planned and disingenuous to me. And I kinda like her!
She is very good at this process, but Bernie’s not bad either. There is no doubt at this point as to what he is all about, and I think most people who have listened to him realize that he is not a freak or a Communist, and that is a big step towards getting his message heard.
Tales from my Effingham friend who lives on a dirt road(names changed to protect the innocent and the stupid).
My pal “Betty” has a new neighbor “City Boy” (never lived outside legal limits of Charlotte till last August) who built his house past my friend on a western Effingham County dirt road. The neighbor went out in his nice shiny Ford ‘truck’ – ordered with more chrome then horse power and only front wheel drive, (it says Explorer so that means you can explore with it right…) – and started down the dirt road. Betty ‘s 19 year old son told him to let the road dry out and to have the county check the edge along the creek bed, but City Boy said he would be fine… 40 minutes later, a very dirty and drenched City Boy is walking back down the road. It seems the ‘truck like thing’ got stuck and while he was trying to work his way out of the clay and gravel, the road sunk along the edge into the bed of the creek, which was completely filled with rushing water. So he had to jump out of the truck into the sponge like clayish dirt and make the 2 miles back up the road. As of this morning, Betty’s son had hauled City Boy’s SUV out of the now empty creek bed where it slide down further during the night with his much bigger and badder Ford pick up. The road is now completely impassable at that point (even for big and bad Fords). The county is bringing out a bulldozer this afternoon or in the morning. to re-sculpt the road.
How the Democrats want to screw up the energy bill and blame the GOP:
Add a Billion dollar assistance (or however that 600+400 works) for a city of 100,000, Flint, Mi.
If the Feds want to step over the state and city, they need to sent Atlanta a few billion for their water problems.
